    Regional Manager South-East Asia & Strategy Director
    Main Role & Function at L&S Bien Vu serves as the Strategy Director at Leadership & Sustainability, where he is responsible for business development across Southeast Asia. He is a certified Higg FEM Chemical Specialist Verifier, ZDHC In-Check Verifier, ZDHC Supplier-to-Zero Reviewer, and C2C Reviewer. Additionally, he is a Higg FEM Approved Trainer and a ZDHC Accredited Trainer for Chemical Management System (CMS), Wastewater, and Climate Action Training. Education & Experience Academic Background: Bien Vu holds a degree in Chemistry from Hanoi University of Science – Vietnam National University. He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Environmental and Social Governance (ESG) at the Asian Institute of Technology, expected to graduate in September 2025. Industry Experience: With over 17 years of expertise in environmental and chemical management, he has worked extensively in compliance and sustainability for the apparel and footwear industries. Laboratory & Compliance Expertise: Since 2012, he has held supervisory roles in chemical testing laboratories for SGS and Bureau Veritas CPS, gaining in-depth knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance frameworks. Management & Leadership: As Division Manager at Openview Service Limited, he was responsible for establishing policies, procedures, and implementing the Environmental Solutions Department, including the Higg Index program. Sustainability & Verification Work: A Higg FEM Chemical Specialist Verifier since 2019, Bien has conducted over 600 sustainability assessments across Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Thailand. His expertise includes Higg FEM verification, as well as environmental and chemical assessments aligned with major brand requirements such as Adidas (IEEM), C&A (SCM Audit), and AEO (Energy & Water Efficiency). He has actively contributed to capacity-building initiatives led by GIZ, including the FABRIC and IGS projects. His roles have included consulting on Higg FEM improvement strategies, Climate Action Training, Waste-No-More, the Chemical Management Initiative, and risk assessment toolkits for leather facilities. He has been recognized as an environmental expert and chemical management advisor by GIZ. Since 2022, Bien has supported To The Finish Line (TFL), a non-profit organization working on GIZ projects in Vietnam, fostering a learning community around Higg FEM, chemical management, circularity, and climate action.
