Main Role & Function at L&S
Sandra works as a Supply Chain Manager at Leadership & Sustainability, she supports the team lead of the supply chain team in Germany. She also supports the development of L&S services, markets and clients in the supply chain area, ensuring excellent service delivery.
Education & Experience
Sandra has a degree in Chemical Engineering- Process /Energy Management and a Masters in Energy Engineering from Portugal. She has more than 22 years of experience in the textile sector, of which 11 years were spent in the industrial field (wet process). A few of the several roles she has had over the years are- Involvement in the research field during her master’s degree, Quality Assurance, Development of new products, Team Management in a Portuguese retail brand and as a Chemicals Sales Engineer.
In the last 5 years, she has been involved in Energy and Water Management. With 5 years of audit and consultancy experience, she conducted over 250 audits on behalf of international brand clients, in Europe and North Africa. Furthermore, she was responsible for managing and implementing a programme towards water efficiency, involving textile facilities all over the world. With a focus on the identification of water-saving opportunities, setting of goals according to the individual facilities processes, the definition of water baselines and respective data analysis.
Nevertheless, she trained the involved wet process facilities, creating awareness and critical sense regarding the reduction of the water footprint and its respective impact on the environment. As water reduction directly impacts energy and chemical consumption, it will drive a more sustainable and efficient supply chain, creating more confidence from the brands side.
Audit & Training qualifications
In the last 5 years, Sandra performed environmental audits in several European countries, including water and energy assessments, as well as chemical risk assessments.

Sandra speaks Portuguese, Spanish, French and English.
