Stefanie Rieder-Haas

Main Role & Function at L&S Stefanie works as the Sustainability Director at Leadership & Sustainability where she focuses on strategy projects. Education & Experience Stefanie has a bachelor’s degree in American Studies, Spanish and German as a foreign language from the University of Regensburg (2010) and an MBA in Sports Management from the University of Bayreuth (2017) where she focused on the topic of sustainability. Stefanie has over 20 years of experience studying and working in the USA, Mexico, Australia and Germany. With her broad intercultural understanding and a proven background in sustainability strategy development, project management, leadership and over a decade of experience in the apparel and textile sector, Stefanie makes significant contributions to helping Leadership & Sustainability‘s customers improve their sustainability In her former roles as Head of CSR and Chief Supply Chain Officer at the Outdoor brand Ortovox, Stefanie was responsible for conceptualizing and implementing the brand’s first overarching sustainability strategy, focusing on climate protection, animal welfare, social standards, and on sustainability communication. She helped the company to make significant progress on the topics of carbon reduction, responsible purchasing practices, and stakeholder engagement, especially in the field of animal welfare regarding their wool supply chain. By overseeing and establishing emissions calculations from Scope I to III along the textile supply chain and the support of social audits in Asia and Europe, she was able to gain a very deep understanding of the challenges a company faces when tackling sustainability goals and facing its broader responsibility.
