Main Role & Function at L&S Bien Dao works as a Senior Verifier for Higg FEM and is an Energy & Greenhouse Gases Specialist at Leadership & Sustainability. Education & Experience Bien Dao is a highly qualified Environmental Engineer and Environmental Management professional, holding a Ph.D. degree in Environmental Engineering and boasting over 12 years of experience in his field. His considerable expertise is evident from his diverse experience in general lab technicalities, hazardous waste management, ISO 14064 Greenhouse Gases, ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, integrated system compliance, green office, and environmental auditing. Bien Dao has worked as a member of the EHS audit team in the fashion industry for over 3 years. He began his career as an environmentalist, managing the environment and energy systems. He was promoted to the position of supporting the General Director in executing EHS audit policies, projects, and work programs and as a system compliance and training specialist, where he was responsible for an integrated management system that included ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001. In addition to these, he also coordinated health and safety training, such as waste management and chemical safety, for customers. During his time in these positions, Bien Dao developed a keen understanding of the complexities of industrial operations and developed strategies to mitigate negative environmental impacts. Bien Dao has had the opportunity to go to the US to study and work in the field of environmental management before continuing to pursue his academic career in Taiwan with a doctorate in environmental engineering. Studying and working abroad helped him expand his knowledge and gain experiences within his major, but it has also granted him the opportunity to explore different cultures and absorb knowledge from various different fields. Bien Dao took on the role of Higg FEM Chemical Specialist Verifier for a third party and conducted HIGG FEM verification, including Environmental System Management, Energy and Greenhouse Gases, Water Use, Wastewater, Waste and Chemical Management sections for customers in apparel, footwear, textile, furniture, electronic, and home appliance industries. In his position, he provided technical support to ensure the quality of reports met clients' requirements, and he interviewed and trained new auditors about the assessment process and report writing procedures. His diligent efforts ensured that all reports were accurate and met clients' expectations. Languages Bien Dao speaks Vietnamese and English.
