The Microfibre Consortium (TMC) is leading the textile industry in reducing fibre fragmentation from textiles into the environment by connecting academic research with the reality of commercial supply chain production. As part of their interventions, the TMC Manufacturing Task Team, over the course of two years, has developed guidelines on clear and measurable actions for managing fibre fragmentation in industrial wastewater discharge produced within the operations of textile, apparel, and footwear suppliers with wet processing facilities.
We are pleased to have worked with the Microfibre Consortium to enhance the reach and impact of these very guidelines. During this project, we developed a series of complementary high-quality training slides as well as video materials led by our CEO, Karin Ekberg. With the help of these training sessions, available on the ZDHC learning platform, brands and retailers can benefit from learning about fibre fragmentation in wastewater discharge and mitigation steps in an accessible and tangible way.
We are extremely happy to announce that this week, the Microfibre Consortium has launched this training and made it available for you to sign up for it using this link!

Best regards,
Karin and the L&S team
